Chile’s legal fraternity mourns first judge’s death from COVID-19

SANTIAGO – The Association of Magistrates and Magistrates of Chile on Sunday confirmed the death of the first Chilean magistrate due to the coronavirus.

The national association sent their condolences to the family and friends of Héctor Osorio Sepúlveda, who was working as a Guarantee Judge for Talagante.

The Supreme Court regretted the judge’s death on social networks in the afternoon.

In a tweet, the Municipality of Talagante sent condolences to his family, remembering Osario as “a great judge, with tremendous disposition and support for the work we do for neighbors.”

A couple of weeks ago, a Supreme Court official, who had worked in the Post Unit, also died of the virus infection.
